Album Commentary:
Formed in 1993 and debuting in 1995, Backstreet Boys have released 9 studio albums and a best album. By 2019, they had sold over 130 million records worldwide and accumulated more than 4 billion streams. In Japan, they had sold over 7 million records, including three million-selling releases.
The group had already visited Japan six times, including three dome tours, drawing more than 700,000 fans in total. Remarkably, they reached their 25th anniversary without ever breaking up and while keeping the original lineup intact.
In 2013, after Kevin Richardson returned, the group celebrated its 20th anniversary and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Their Japan tour that year attracted more than 100,000 fans. From 2017 onward, their Las Vegas residency proved highly successful, reaching 80 performances by April 2019. the DNA World Tour, their biggest world tour in 18 years, was scheduled to run from May to September 2019.
